The bowling combination of Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma, and Avesh Khan, who destroyed the Mumbai lineup with five wickets, has evolved into an added benefit.
In terms of the Lucknow Super Giants, they would be hoping that everything would come together for KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock to start as their opening unit and exact revenge on RR for their first-ever tie. This year, the LSG captain has been in incredible form, leading his club in runs scored with 302 in eight games. He will, therefore, also be depending on the left-hander from South Africa to set the pace of play during the powerplay.
Should the combination falter, though, the squad will have the formidable Australian Marcus Stonis to support them, who destroyed CSK in the last match by scoring 124 runs off only 63 balls. Even if it could seem rewarding for LSG in the intermediate order, they will also be looking to Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran, and Devdutt Paddikal—three players who have so far had bittersweet experiences—for their contributions.
